Guide
The Kurşunlu spa sits in the green valley of the Kurşunlu stream, 5 kilometres from Salihli and 65 kilometres from Manisa, and its setting and views draw picnickers and day visitors as well as bathers. The Manisa directorate of culture and tourism counts it among Türkiye's first-degree, priority thermal waters and lists benefits for rheumatism, skin, gynaecological, respiratory and nervous complaints, recovery after surgery, and joint problems.
The water, containing calcium sulphate, bicarbonate, sulphate and hydrogen sulphide, has a pH of 5.8 and emerges at between 52 and 96°C. It is used for bathing only and is not suitable for drinking cures. Salihli Municipality runs the complex: 86 houses with two, three or five beds, a restaurant, cafeteria and tea garden, a bakery and food shops, and a doctor, physiotherapist and health officer on site. Two indoor pools, eight jacuzzi baths and two saunas are open to day visitors as well as to guests.
Getting there
On the İzmir–Ankara road, turn south before you reach Salihli onto a 2-kilometre road that leads to the spa.
