Lake Kuyucuk, at Kuyucuk village in the Arpaçay district of Kars, holds the status of a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention, and is the thirteenth Ramsar site in Türkiye.
It is also protected as a wildlife development area. A great many bird species migrate through it, stop there, rest and breed. It is reached by car or with tour companies.
