Guide
Kuzuyayla Nature Park lies within the Kartepe district of Kocaeli. Declared a park in 2011, it has rich vegetation and looks out over Lake Sapanca.
Six reptiles live in the area. Forty-five bird species are found here, of which thirty appear in Appendix II of the Bern Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats, covering strictly protected species, and twelve in Appendix III, covering protected species. Of the twenty-one mammals recorded, seven are in Appendix II and nine in Appendix III.
