Eriklitepe Nature Park lies within the Gölcük district of Kocaeli, on the skirts of the Samanlı mountains among dense beech forest. It was declared a nature park in 2011 and is run by the municipality of Gölcük.
The vegetation is made up of beech, juniper, strawberry tree, bramble, rockrose and meadow grasses. The lower layer holds rhododendron, fern, strawberry tree and various herbaceous species, and the upper layer is entirely beech.
Buzzard, chaffinch, woodpecker, hedgehog, wood mouse, roe deer, brown bear, wild boar, jackal, fox and wolf have been recorded in the park.
