Melikler lies within the Yenişarbademli district of Isparta, on the skirts of Dedegöl Dağı, and is used for camping, walking and mountaineering.
The camping ground is ringed by pines and looks out at Dedegöl. It sits on flat ground at 1,735 metres. The mountaineering festival held each May on the plateau and on Dedegöl is a significant event at national level.
One limit matters: the eastern part of the area is the boundary of the Kızıldağ national park, and camping is not possible there.
Besides camping, the routes from here include the climb up Dedegöl, the walk to the Pınargözü cave and the walk to the Yaka canyon. The place is also among the darkest points in the country, and a sky-watching festival is held on the plateau each July or August.
