Zindan Mağarası, fully lit and developed almost horizontally over 765 metres, is an easy cave to walk through. It opens on the south-facing slope of the Aksu Çayı gorge, 2 kilometres northeast of Aksu, at 1300 metres above sea level.

The cave is semi-active. Along the way there are dripstone, flowstone and rimstone formations, stalactites and forms worn by the underground stream, which in some sections has cut miniature canyons. At the far end, in the chamber known as the hamam, the floor is covered with distinctive calcite crystals in a mosaic-like pattern, and analyses have shown the water flowing through the cave to be high in calcium and magnesium.

A real mosaic greets visitors at the entrance. It is made of black, white and red stone tesserae and shows the head of Eurymedon, god of the Köprü Çayı, with a dolphin on either side and winged flying male figures above and below.
