Three doors lead into the courtyard of the Muradiye mosque at Edirne, two on the west and one on the east. The marble inscription over the upper western door, written by Abdurrahman Hibri, records that Murad II had the mosque built in 1443 and that Osman II had it repaired in 1621.

Today it is rectangular, 22 by 19 metres, but it began as a mosque with guest rooms attached; those rooms were removed later. It is built of rubble without tie courses.
