Trakya University set up this museum in the Karaağaç quarter of Edirne and named it after Prof. Dr. Osman İnci, the university's founder and first rector. Its stated purpose is to contribute to scientific, artistic and educational life in the city.
The displays are built around İnci himself — his academic work, personal effects, photographs and the awards he received — and around the wider record of how research took root in Edirne, with documents and objects from that story. Food and drink, water included, are not allowed in the galleries, and group visits are by appointment. The museum is closed on Mondays.
