The Nostalgia Museum in central Beylikdüzü is devoted to everyday childhood in Türkiye in the 1980s and 1990s, and it is arranged over three floors, each opening onto a different part of that world.
At the entrance you walk past the games and corner shops children of those decades loved, stocked with the goods they sold. The first floor is given over to a large collection of toys, the second recreates the rooms of a home of the period with replicas of the household machines people used, and the top floor is set up as an old classroom with rows of desks, a blackboard and the blue and black school smocks pupils once wore. Groups are advised to book ahead.
