Örenönü Nature Park lies on the eastern edge of Tunceli, about five kilometres from the centre as the crow flies, with the Pülümür stream along its southern and eastern sides and the Erzincan-Tunceli road to the north. It covers 11.78 hectares and was declared on 11 July 2011.
What grows there is riverside woodland: old black poplars growing naturally on the site, with willow, poplar, wild bramble, ash, many streamside plants and annuals. The directorate says the park is home to a good many mammals, reptiles and birds without naming a single species.
Facilities are those of a roadside day-use park with camping: an entrance control unit, a sanitary building, a kiosk, a restaurant, a children's play area, day-use grounds, a tent camping area, a car park and toilets. Walking and day recreation are the listed activities. Capacity is 200 visitors, 50 vehicles and 120 tents, and the gates are open from 08:00 to 20:00. A concessionaire runs the site.
The park is entered from the Erzincan-Tunceli road, which runs alongside it: five kilometres east of central Tunceli, turn south at the junction.
