The mosque at Gokceali village in the Piraziz district of Giresun was first built by Şeyh İdris, according to the inscription over its door. The endowment deed held by the General Directorate of Foundations records that Şeyh İdris died in 1399, which places the original mosque in those years. The building has a wooden ceiling inside and a four-sided hipped roof clad in zinc outside, and no minaret. You enter the prayer hall through a double-leaf wooden door under a round arch in the middle of the north front, and above the arch is a ten-line inscription in a plain hand.
Be clear about the tomb: the tomb of Şeyh İdris was demolished entirely at the end of the 1990s and rebuilt as an open baldachin. It is heptagonal, its dome carried on seven columns; the dome is reinforced concrete, plastered and painted. A brick wall about a metre high encloses it, and at the centre is a rectangular marble grave.
