The building that houses the Ressam Mehmet Yücetürk art centre stands on Bolu's main square, in the Tabaklar quarter, and was built in masonry in 1915. It is single-storey and rectangular, with the sections to the left and right of the entrance arranged as projections on the facade; on the south side the basement was kept somewhat higher to follow the slope of the ground.
You go up five steps in the middle of the front and in through a double-leaf door with a low arch and stone jambs. The door is wooden, and its leaves are decorated with carved console motifs in the upper part and star motifs in latticework at the centre. The windows are round-arched with stone frames, those over the projections smaller than the rest. Past the main entrance a small space leads through a second door into a large rectangular central room, its ceiling closed with a geometrically arranged timber covering, with five smaller rooms opening off it. The roof is hipped, with wide wooden eaves. The building is still in use as a culture and art centre.
