The shore where the İlkadım and Canik districts of Samsun meet the sea has been laid out as a single stretch: eight kilometres of walking and cycling path with areas for strolling and for vehicles.
On 92 donums of ground along that route are a skating rink, a concert ground, a zoo and the artificial lake called Sevgi Gölü. People come here to fish, to walk and to spend the evening. Minibuses run from the Yabancilar Pazarı area in İlkadım, and the shore is within walking distance of both districts.
