Sis Dağı yayla lies where the boundaries of Giresun and Trabzon meet, forty kilometres inland from the coast at Görele. It spreads over a wide area on Ali Meydan, also called Sis Dağı, and snow lies on the ground here until the beginning of July. It was declared a tourism centre in 2011 and has basic services.
The pasture is known for its yellow and purple flowers, and the Sis Dağı festival is held on it every July.
Getting there
It is 93 kilometres from the city of Giresun, with no difficulty of access. It can also be approached from the Erikbeli Tourism Centre, 24 kilometres from Tonya, by heading west along a 25-kilometre dirt road, or from the small town of Geyikli, following the Beşikdüzü–Şalpazarı highway.

- Across Giresun as a whole, monthly mean temperatures run from 7.2 °C in February to 23.4 °C in August; the mean stays between 15 and 25 °C in May, June, July, August, September and October; rainfall is heaviest in October (163 mm) and lightest in May (69 mm). Long-term means for 1929-2025 from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM).
