The provincial directorate calls Yavuzkemal Yaylası the best-known and most visited yayla in Giresun. On the way up, Despot Kayası with its spring, the Erimez area with its natural scenery, and Gelin Kayası each make a stop of their own.

Within the area, Kulakkaya yayla has a licensed place to stay, the Alçakbel picnic ground in the forest is set up for day trips and recreation, and the small town of Yavuzkemal nearby has shops for all needs. In 2023 the boundaries were redrawn and the area was given the status of the Yavuzkemal Yaylası Culture and Tourism Conservation and Development Zone.
