The Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture Museum and Culture House opened in 2007 and carries the traces of three institutions: the Agriculture School founded at Halkalı in İstanbul in 1892, the Shepherd School opened at Kalaba in Ankara in 1898, and the Higher Agriculture Institute, which began teaching on 30 October 1933.
The museum has two enclosed halls on the ground floor and ten rooms and a corridor above. What is displayed there, arranged chronologically, is the working equipment of agricultural teaching from the Higher Agriculture Institute — which drove agricultural education in Türkiye — down to the present: original teaching apparatus, workshop instruments used in lessons and experiments, insect specimens, and farm tools and machinery of many kinds.
The collection keeps growing through donations from academics who once taught in the faculty and from other people and groups. The address is Gümüşdere Mah., Meteoroloji Kavşağı, beneath the Fatih bridge at Hasköy, Keçiören, and public transport towards Keçiören serves it.
