The Amazon Village is a reconstruction in Batipark in the İlkadım district of Samsun: wax figures set out to show the daily life of the Amazons, and it is open to visitors.
The provincial directorate's reason for putting it here is that the Amazons — who between about 3000 and 2000 BC founded city-states and lived under a matriarchal order — are held to have lived for a time at Terme, in this province. The park is 27 kilometres from the airport and 8 from the bus station, and city transport reaches it.
