Guide
Bozdağ ski centre, in the Tavas district of Denizli, lies within a culture and tourism conservation and development zone at 2,419 m. Its lifts run between a lower station at 1,900 m and an upper station at 2,391 m, on slopes facing north and north-west that the district governorship says hold good powder and crystal snow. The area sits where maritime and continental climates meet: the first snow usually falls in November and cover lasts into May.
The first-phase ski area covers 487 hectares and has three lifts with a combined length of 3,950 m and a capacity of 2,700 people an hour: a 750 m surface lift (teleski) and two chairlifts of 1,700 m and 1,500 m. The governorship argues that Bozdağ has an edge over Uludağ and Palandöken because it sees very little fog and is sheltered from the wind.
