The Cehennem Deresi Canyon Nature Park is in the Ardanuç district of Artvin, declared a nature park on 1 May 2018 and open twenty-four hours. It lies at the twenty-fifth kilometre of the Artvin–Ardanuç road, seven kilometres from the centre of Ardanuç.
It is one of the largest canyons in Türkiye, and the source records it as the second deepest in the world after the Grand Canyon. The canyon is two and a half kilometres long, and in places its walls reach two hundred metres. Its width runs to seventy metres in some stretches and narrows sharply in others.
Facilities at the canyon are quite limited, though there is somewhere to stay nearby. To raise the tourism potential of the area, the district governorship of Ardanuç and the provincial directorate of culture and tourism prepared a project called "Paradise is lived in Cehennem Deresi" and began work on it. Some people living in the area objected: the glass bridge and walls planned under the project would not agree with the natural character of the canyon and could damage it.
