Cin Kulesi was a watchtower, and its placing says so plainly: it stands on the highest hill between the sea and the Sokullu Mehmet Paşa complex, where an approaching attack could be seen early. It was once ringed by a ditch. Who built it is not settled — the provincial governorate says either the Crusaders or the Genoese — and its date of construction is not known.
