The Cuma bath in Kars stands southwest of the Taş Köprü and is known to have been built in 1863. Its name is explained by its use: it served women on Fridays. Because it was very large and modern for its time it is also called the Asri, the modern, bath.
It is a single-function bath running east to west, with the cold room, warm room, hot room and furnace laid out on a rectangular plan. Cut stone was used in the wall surfaces and brick in the domes of the roofing. It is on Erzurum Caddesi in the Sukapi quarter.
