The Hacı Lütfullah Mosque stands opposite the Harran gate in Şanlıurfa and has two inscriptions. The one on its inner door records that Hacı Abdurrahman Efendi, son of Mustafa, had the building repaired, the work completed in 1720.
The second is disputed. Set beside the entrance, it reads that praise be to God, the living and everlasting, this is completed, and asks that the owner of this house be made happy, brought to paradise and kept from hellfire; it carries the year 1853, which would make that the date of the building. According to Mustafa Karakaş, however, this is not the mosque's inscription at all but that of a hotel: when the bath at Yıldız Meydanı and the buildings around it were demolished, that hotel came down too and its inscription was placed on this mosque. The mosque is in the Bamyasuyu quarter.
