The portal calls this the largest park in Türkiye, laid out over 1.3 million square metres serving Ankara and the area around it. Of that, about 771,000 square metres are green, 330,000 roads and squares, 92,000 water, 67,000 buildings and 40,000 car parking.
Within it, on 25,000 square metres, is a Fairytale Island for children, with its own landscaping and lighting and twelve small cinemas where various characters are set in places of their own and their films shown. From Turkish material there are Asena, the she-wolf of the Ergenekon legend; Tarkan; Boğaçhan from the tales of Dede Korkut; the folk poet Karacaoğlan; Nasreddin Hoca, the satirist and sage; Keloğlan; and Hacivat and Karagöz, without whom traditional Turkish theatre does not exist. Aladdin and his lamp stands among them. From elsewhere there are Asterix, Fred Flintstone and his family, the Man Mountain from Swift's Gulliver's Travels, and Lucky Luke and the Daltons.
The rest of the park is built for use. There is a wedding hall of 2,800 square metres with a main room for 550 people and two smaller ones, a lake with a half-open amphitheatre for 5,000, a tea garden on the shore, a restaurant serving Anatolian cooking, a seafood restaurant, snack kitchens, kiosks and water tanks.
There is also a large administration building with a modern meeting room for 350, exhibition, cinema and theatre halls, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools usable by disabled visitors. Football, basketball, volleyball and handball grounds, a country café, cafeterias, picnic areas, car parks, and cycle and foot paths complete it.
