The castle in the centre of İskilip sits on rock that falls away sheer on three sides; the only way up is from the north-west. It is dated to the Ottoman period.
At the foot of that rock are rock tombs of the Roman period. There are vehicles to İskilip from the Çorum bus station every hour.
