The Kazdağı Museum, also called the Kazdağı Ethnography Gallery, is in the Güre neighbourhood of Edremit. It sets out to hold the mythology, history, culture and natural history of Mount Ida in one building.

The mythological material is presented through sound and image, and runs from the contest the ancients called the first beauty contest through to the Trojan War.

The ethnographic rooms follow the Turkmen communities who have lived on the mountain for centuries: their clothing in strong colours, woven textiles made by hand, household objects, and pieces that trace a nomadic way of life.

Two further strands run through the displays — the biodiversity of Mount Ida, including its endemic plants and its animal life, and the people associated with the region, among them the writer Sabahattin Ali.
