Guide

Kızıkköy's spring rises at the place called İbrahim Tepe, by the village of Kızık, six kilometres from Manyas. Its water, of sodium, calcium, chloride and bicarbonate composition, is used in two ways, for bathing and for drinking.

According to the provincial culture and tourism directorate, the water is good for digestive complaints, passing kidney stones, rheumatism, osteoporosis, gynaecological conditions, eczema, slow-healing wounds, acne and wrinkled skin, and for holding off premature ageing. Drunk, it is said to stimulate the kidneys and bowels and act as a diuretic, and it serves as a supporting treatment for gastritis, oesophagitis and ulcers, skeletal disorders, back, neck and joint pain, fatigue and stress.

Accommodation is in a privately owned time-share complex with its own pool and restaurant, and in a facility belonging to the village of Kızıkköy.
