Kızıldağ Yaylası is a highland pasture within the Karaisalı district of Adana. Like Akçatekir and the other high ground around it, Kızıldağ is known to have been used as a summer settlement since early times.
Because the summers in Adana are very hot, people of the region live on low ground in winter and go up to the pastures in summer. This brings with it a way of living that can be counted half-nomadic.
The pasture has drawn people in numbers in recent years for the mountains that ring it, its natural setting and the cool it offers in summer. A local festival of Kızıldağ karakucak wrestling is held in the town each year.
