Belemedik lies about ten kilometres from Pozantı, on the bank of the Çakıt stream. The road in is a stabilised track through Anbaş village, and the railway also reaches it: the directorate gives the distance from the provincial centre as 110 kilometres by road and 77 by rail.
Visitors stay in the highland houses of the area, built of stone and timber in the local manner.
The wildlife is the other reason to come. Wild goat and wild boar live here, and birds of prey can be watched from the valley.
