Guide

In Köprüköy district, close to 60 km from Erzurum, a spring boils up so violently that local people call it Deli Çermik, the 'mad spring', and the spa built on it is famous for its mud. Köprüköy, together with Pasinler and Ilıca, is one of the districts where Erzurum's spa tourism is concentrated.

The water contains bicarbonate, sodium, calcium, carbon dioxide, iron and bromide, and the provincial directorate lists it as used to treat digestive, kidney and urinary, circulatory and heart, metabolic and rheumatic conditions.
