The Kunduracı planes stand in the square of the Kaynaklar quarter in Buca district of İzmir — six trees in a village square rather than a tree to be sought out in forest. The 1.5 decares around them were declared a natural monument in 1994.
The spread of their measurements is wide: ages of around 200 to 1,000 years, girths from 2.50 to 14.40 metres, trunk diameters from 0.80 to 4.59 metres, and heights between 25 and 30 metres. The directorate does not say which figure belongs to which tree, so the thousand years cannot be pinned to any one of them.
It records the general condition of the group as good — unlike İzmir's monument chestnuts, whose pages note pruning and hollowed trunks. The page does not explain the name, which means cobbler.
Capacity is 300 visitors and 60 vehicles, with hours of 07:00 to 21:00.
