Sarımsaklı Nature Park is small — 1.58 hectares according to its area record, updated to 1.84 hectares by a directorate approval dated 22 April 2025 and numbered 18276261 — and it sits on the coast in Ayvalık district of Balıkesir province, in northern Aegean Türkiye. The whole of it is state forest inside a first-degree natural site. It became a recreation area on 1 April 2003 and was declared a nature park on 11 July 2011.
Red pine is the dominant tree, with individual eucalyptus planted among them. Tree frog, goshawk, little owl, buzzard, goldfinch, greenfinch, house martin, ortolan bunting, robin, kestrel, white wagtail and great tit are the birds recorded; fox, hedgehog, island hare, wood mouse, marten, squirrel and weasel the mammals.
The facilities are country houses, a country coffee house, a kiosk, a warden's house and toilets. Sea tourism, walking, wildlife watching and what the directorate calls limited overnight accommodation are the activities offered; the page does not say what the limit is. Capacity is 75 visitors and 25 vehicles, and the gates open early, from 06:00 to 20:00.
The park is seven kilometres off the İzmir-Çanakkale trunk road on an asphalt side road, and ten kilometres from Ayvalık town centre. Other distances given are 58 kilometres to Edremit, 140 to Balıkesir, 150 to İzmir and 177 to Çanakkale. The nearest airport is Balıkesir Koca Seyit, about 50 kilometres away.
