The Taş Medrese in Kahramanmaraş was built at the end of the fifteenth century by Alauddevle Bey, ruler of the Dulkadirid beylik. It stands beside the Great Mosque and was laid out as a small complex of medrese, masjid and tomb. It has come down through various repairs with its original fabric intact, and the General Directorate of Foundations restored it in 1991-92. Today it is used as a masjid and a store.
It went on functioning as a school into the 1920s: the education yearbook of 1901 records 25 students studying here. The building is in the Kurtuluş quarter.
