This is a directorate rather than a single building. The İstanbul Tombs Museum Directorate — Türbeler Müzesi — was founded on 15 February 1978 to run, under one administration, the tombs in İstanbul that belong to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

A hundred and twenty tombs come under it, among them those of Süleyman the Magnificent, Hürrem Sultan, Mehmed the Conqueror, Selim I and Eyüp Sultan. The office itself is at At Meydanı No. 1 in Sultanahmet, reached by the Kabataş–Bağcılar tram line.
