An electricity distribution company built this one. Aras Elektrik Dağıtım set up the museum and the provincial directorate describes it as the first and only private electricity museum in Türkiye, with no equivalent among the other distribution companies.

Collecting began in June 2023 and the museum opened formally on 1 February 2024. It started with 63 objects; the collection now runs to close on a hundred meters and a good deal else -- meters from the 1930s, meter calibration benches, meter control units, and a range of transformers and electrical equipment.

Most of it was given rather than bought, and donations from other distribution companies keep arriving, so the inventory is still growing. The directorate says the museum can be visited at any hour, and it also offers access digitally through a QR code.
