The Âşık Veysel Museum is the house where the folk poet Âşık Veysel Şatıroğlu was born, in the village of Sivrialan in the Şarkışla district of Sivas, arranged as a museum. The Ministry of Culture expropriated the house in 1979 and opened it to visitors in 1982 after renovation. The museum is made up of the house and an additional building put up in 2012, and shows Veysel's photographs, personal belongings and poems, the works published about him, and a wax figure of him.
Between the two buildings is a section called the Dark Room. Visitors pass through it to understand something of the world of a poet who was blind. In the museum Âşık Veysel is also presented to blind visitors in raised lettering.
