Guide

Bozdağ is a heavily wooded mountain area with picnic and recreation grounds, and its ski centre has made it a magnet for visitors. Bozdağ Kayak Merkezi opened in 1998 but at times had to close because of avalanche risk. Between 2019 and 2021 the General Directorate of Forestry built snow bridges, wind screens, energy breakers, a deflection wall and an avalanche storage dam, after which the site was handed over for operation as the 'Bozdağ B-type recreation area'. Whether the ski centre runs in a given winter depends on snowfall and demand.

Every February Bozdağ hosts a mountaineering festival, when visiting club members camp and walk to the summit. The mountain is also good for paragliding, which draws pilots mostly in spring and summer. Travel agencies run day tours that usually take in Ödemiş, Birgi, Gölcük, Bozdağ, the Salihli hot springs and Sart, and Bozdağ is a stop on the Efeler Yolu culture route.

Getting there
