The Dedeoğlu mansion in the Kurtuluş quarter of Kahramanmaraş is one of the vernacular buildings that make up the fabric of the town. There is no inscription giving a definite year, but its architectural features, materials and construction technique place it in the 1900s.
The house was built around a central living space and has three storeys, though it was divided among different owners over time. It shows the typical features of Ottoman domestic architecture, with the outer-sofa plan including a kiosk and an iwan. It fronts onto two streets and a courtyard and is lit by windows opening to both. Mixed construction was used: the parts of the ground and first floors facing the street are built in rough-dressed stone walling. The municipality restored the house in 2011. It is a five-minute walk from the historic Maraş markets in the town centre.
