The Kocabaş mansion is one of the many historic houses of Kahramanmaraş and is more than a hundred years old. It was restored in 2010 and brought back into use as the Maraş Culture House.
The house is set on an irregular polygonal courtyard and consists of two floors over a basement. The enclosing wall is built of rubble stone, and at the middle of the courtyard is an octagonal pool added later.
The mansion is in the Kayabaşı quarter, in the city centre, and can be reached by minibus, private or municipal bus, or taxi.
