Guide

Gediz Muratdağı Kaplıcası grew around two bathhouses built side by side, known as Kocahamam and Hacıdâna and believed to date from the Germiyanoğulları period. Their hot water rises on the west-facing slopes of the mountain. Evliya Çelebi praised these springs, and the Kütahya directorate of culture and tourism lists rheumatic conditions first among their uses, followed by skin, gynaecological, nerve and muscle complaints.

The spa was declared a Thermal Tourism Centre by Council of Ministers decision on 22 October 2004. Overnight visitors can stay in apartments and bungalows, and day visitors can use an open-air pool and the baths.
