The İmren Erşen Needle Lace Museum was founded on 3 June 2022 by the Eskişehir metropolitan municipality, with the support of the then mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen, in the historic Sivrioğulları mansion in the Odunpazarı quarter.
The museum holds close to six thousand different examples of needle lace, gathered village by village over sixty years from the Aegean coast, from Anatolia and from abroad by the painter İmren Erşen, who gave them and after whom the museum is named.
The lace and the ethnographic works are displayed in rooms called the Bride, the Circumcision and the Three Graces, and in the Great Hall. These sections stand for the place needle lace held in the social life of the people of Anatolia.
