The Kab mosque at Adıyaman was built in 1768. An inscription over the entrance shows that it was renewed in 1923, and the Directorate General of Foundations restored it in 2010. A summer mosque stands beside it.
It is built of dressed stone and covered by a wooden dome finished in bağdadi plaster, which the directorate records as the only example of its kind in the region. The porch along the north side has two mihrabiye niches under a flat wooden ceiling. The mihrab on the qibla wall is cut stone with a muqarnas hood, and the minbar is walnut. The minaret stands apart at the northwest corner, square at the base, cylindrical above, with one balcony.
The earthquakes of 2023 struck the building. Check the mosque's condition before travelling.
