Before planning a visit: the Musalla Mosque in Adıyaman collapsed in the earthquake of 2023 and restoration work has begun. When it was built is not known for certain; on the evidence of its architecture and plan it can be placed in the seventeenth or eighteenth century.
The mosque has a courtyard and is built of regular cut stone. On the north are pointed arches and a five-bay porch opening onto the courtyard. The prayer hall is in three parts, the middle one domed and the other two covered with cross vaults. The mihrab, set at the centre of the qibla wall, has a pointed arch on two colonnettes with a muqarnas hood, and beside it is a minbar of stone. The minaret stands at the southwest corner of the courtyard, adjoining the porch: single-balconied, ringed by three rows of muqarnas, finishing in a cylindrical upper shaft and a cap.
