The valley of the storks has become the emblem of Yesildag, a settlement in the Beyşehir district of Konya on the shore of Lake Beyşehir. Thousands of storks arrive every spring and build their nests here, and that is when to come; they stay until the return migration.
Yesildag is counted among the more important picnic areas of the region for its landscape as well. A second colony is at Adakoy, where 45 stork nests stand together. The valley is thirty kilometres from Beyşehir.
