Mavi Boğaz is a canyon within the boundaries of the Avdan township in the Akören district of Konya, declared a nature park on 22 December 2021 over 530 hectares. The Çarşamba river runs through the canyon, and that is what shapes the place.
The Directorate states that the site holds no endemic and no threatened species. What grows here naturally includes meadow grasses, bramble, spurge, thyme, bracken, dog rose, tragacanth, mullein, greenbrier and wild mint. The animals recorded are wolf, fox, badger, marten, brown hare, wild boar, souslik, hedgehog and weasel, with long-legged buzzard, golden eagle and tawny owl among the birds.
In summer people come for the day to picnic, to look at the canyon, to walk and to fish with a rod; stated capacity is 250. The route from Konya follows the Hatunsaray road to Akören, then the road through Dutlu and Avdan to the Çarşamba channel and the canyon.
