The canyon at İnceğiz, known locally as 'Arapapıştı', was carved entirely by nature, worn down by the streams that feed the Kemer dam. It runs along the Aksu stream in İnceğiz, 45 km from the town of Kale in Denizli province, and the reservoir of the dam begins where the canyon ends.
The canyon can be explored by boat and canoe. The ground around it is green with olive, fig and pine trees, so a visit is also a chance to taste İnceğiz's olives and figs, and caves and traces of old settlements can be seen along its sides. It draws nature lovers from Denizli, Aydın and Muğla.
