Göksu Nature Park lies in the centre of Bolu. Ten hectares of it were first registered as a recreation area on 24 December 1992, and on 11 June 2011 twenty-five hectares were declared the Göksu Nature Park by the then Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
Though it covers only twenty-five hectares, the park holds habitats — forest and lake — that vary and enrich its animal life. Seven species of amphibian live here, one of them a newt and six of them frogs and toads, and two species of the order Chelonia have been recorded, one a tortoise and the other a freshwater turtle.
The park is used for fishing. There are tent camping grounds in its northern part, wooden cabins to the east and a small caravan camping area to the north-east.
