The Kargı Köyü oriental sweetgum forest was declared a nature conservation area on 27 July 1987 and covers 88.5 hectares in the Yeşilova district of Burdur. What it protects is Liquidambar orientalis, the Anatolian sweetgum, a tree of restricted distribution.
The forest grows either as pure stands of sweetgum or as mixed stands with oriental alder, Türkiye oak, Calabrian pine and oriental plane. In the shrub layer are hawthorn, bay, fig and myrtle.
The site lies on the Burdur–Acıpayam–Denizli road, 9 kilometres from Yeşilova, 69 from Burdur and 82 from Denizli.
