Guide
Emendere's hot spring rises in Ilıcalı village, 7 km from Sındırgı, at 33 °C. The spring offers bathing in private cabins and rooms in a guesthouse; a further, better-equipped facility was built in the area through a partnership between Sındırgı Municipality and the İstanbul metropolitan municipality. The provincial directorate lists the water as good for gout, kidney stones, and skin and stomach complaints, psoriasis, fungal infections, wounds, scabies and eczema in particular.
Getting there
A bus leaves once a day from Yağpazarı, the centre of Sındırgı.
