Guide
The spa at Bostancı lies within the village's boundaries on the road between Edremit and Burhaniye, in the Edremit district of Balıkesir. The provincial culture and tourism directorate lists two ways of using its water. Drunk, it is recommended for fluoride deficiency linked to diet and as a preventive against tooth decay. As a bath cure, the directorate names disorders of the musculoskeletal system, degenerative and inflammatory rheumatic diseases, cardiovascular conditions including essential hypertension, nervous and psychosomatic disorders, skin diseases, complaints of old age, menstrual disorders and atherosclerotic vascular disease.
Two hotels licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism stand within the village, with a Turkish bath, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools and beauty and fitness centres, and the baths are also open to day visitors.
