On 11 October 1995 the Directorate General of Nature Conservation and National Parks declared eight individual trees in the Örümcek Forest natural monuments on the same day: four firs and four Oriental spruces, numbered rather than named. Spruce IV is the near twin of Spruce III — 53.4 metres against 52.5, a trunk 1.22 metres across against 1.21, a girth of 3.83 metres against 3.81 — and the directorate gives the same age for both, 400 years.
The register entry for each of the eight is measurements only. The province is Gümüşhane; the fields for district, access road, opening hours and visitor capacity are all empty. These trees stand in working forest, not in a laid-out visitor area, and nothing in the listing tells you where the trail or the parking is — ask the provincial branch of the directorate before setting out to find a particular numbered tree.
